가상 기술과 클라우드 시스템 등장으로 정보기술 발전 속도는 계속 진화하고 있으며, 비즈니스 변화에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 발전하는 정보기술만큼이나 관리해야 할 시스템도 증가 되고 있다. 하지만 시스템 관리자에게는 장애에 대한 조치 방안은 언제나 고민 하고 있다. 장애를 대비하기 위해 많은 기업들은 이중화 구성을 통해 지속적인 서비스를 제공하고 있지만 이로 인한 많은 IT운영비용과 시스템 자원의 낭비를 초례되고 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 이중화 구성은 장애발생에 대비하여 서비스 가용성을 유지하는 목적으로 구성한다. 그나마 중요한 서비스 시스템일 경우만 이중화 구성이 되어 있고, 독립적인 서비스 시스템인 경우에는 장애 관리를 위해 방안으로는 백업 받은 파일로 복구하는 방법일 것이다.

그래서 본 논문에서는 다양한 시스템과 장비에서 발생하여 저장되는 공통적이고 표준 프로토클 Syslog를 이용하여 장애 메시지를 내용 파악하고자 하였으나 파일 형식의 비정형 데이터에서 장애 메시지 검색을 통한 관리 방법에는 적합하지 않아, 자동화 모니터링시스템의 로그 분석 엔진과 혼용하여 정형화 데이터로 변환 후 별도의 로그 검색 프로시저를 이용하여 장애 발생 메시지 건수를 모니터링해서 얼마동안 지속적으로 메시지가 발생되었는지를 파악하여, 로그 분석을 통해 교체여부 판단하여 유지보수시간에 맞춰 장애 발생 요소를 조치 할 수 있는 시스템을 구현하여 시스템의 안정성과 서비스의 가용성을 향상 시키는 방안을 제시 한다.
